GRANADA HILLS — A person in an SUV was injured Tuesday when the vehicle was struck by a Metrolink train in Granada Hills within hours of a fatal crash in nearby Sylmar, authorities said.

The crash involving the Antelope Valley Line No. 216 train was reported at 1:58 p.m. in the 14800 block of North San Fernando Road, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.

There were no reported injuries to the crew or passengers, he said.

The crash occurred about 5 1/2 hours after a woman in her 30s was struck and fatally injured by another Metrolink Antelope Valley Line train in the 13800 block of North San Fernando Road.
