Two men were hospitalized Saturday morning with gunshot wounds sustained in separate shootings in South Los Angeles.
A 33-year-old man was walking near 85th and Wall streets in the Florence area when the suspect got out of a vehicle and opened fire, striking the victim, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim drove himself to a hospital and was listed with stable vital signs, Madison said.
A man in his 50s was wounded in a shooting that occurred in the 3300 block of Hyde Park Boulevard in the Hyde Park neighborhood. The victim told officers he was in his vehicle driving in the area when he was shot, Madison said.
There was visible evidence of gunshots on a door of the victim’s vehicle, but the victim was uncooperative and refused to provide further information, Madison said.
The man was taken to a hospital by paramedics and was listed with stable vital signs.
It was unclear whether the shootings were connected or gang-related.
A description of the shooter in each incident was not immediately available.
