Investigation Underway into Shooting Death of Man in San Fernando

A man was shot and killed in San Fernando and the gunman was at-large Friday morning.
Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 300 block of Harps Street, near Harding Avenue, about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, where they located the victim suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds, according to Deputy Erin Liu of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was assisting San Fernando police with the investigation.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire paramedics, Liu said.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
A detailed description of the shooter was not immediately available and the murder weapon was not recovered, she said.
The motive for the shooting was unclear.
