Gang Violence in Placentia Leaves Man with Leg Wound

A Placentia man was shot in the leg, authorities said Monday.

It was reported at 8:16 p.m. Sunday in the area of La Jolla Street and Arnold Drive but officers found the 36-year-old victim at Orangethorpe Avenue and Melrose Street, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of the wound, which did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

There was limited information about suspects and motive but the shooting appeared to be gang-related, police said.
