LOS ANGELES – A woman was killed Sunday morning by a hit-and-run driver in North Hills, a police officer said.

The woman, walking outside the crosswalk, was struck at midnight by a black vehicle going westbound on Roscoe Boulevard, passing Haskell Avenue, said Officer Drake Madison of the LAPD.

The woman was pronounced dead the scene, Drake said, and the motorist did not stop.

No further information was immediately available.
