Images Released Of Man Suspected of Pushing, Threatening UCLA Employee

by Contributing Editor

UCLA police Tuesday released images of a man suspected of pushing a university staff member and making sexually explicit threatening statements to her.

The confrontation occurred about 10:40 a.m. on July 16 near Westwood Boulevard and Le Conte Avenue, according to UCLA police acting Capt. Kevin Kilgore.

The victim was walking on a sidewalk when she was approached by a man who pushed her and made sexually explicit threats, Kilgore said. Several bystanders yelled at the man to stop and the woman was able to get away from her assailant. The victim was not injured.

The woman ran from the scene. The man was last seen walking southbound on Westwood Boulevard toward Weyburn Avenue, Kilgore said.

The suspect was described as about 35 years old, 5-feet-8 inches tall with a thin build, shaved head, goatee and brown eyes. He was wearing a long white tank top, sagging khaki or gray pants and could have a tattoo on his left arm and shoulder area, Kilgore said. The man might have been under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, he said.

Anyone with information was asked to call UCLA police detectives at 310-825-1491.

Anonymous tips can be submitted on the department’s tip line at 310-794-5824.
