Big rig driver trapped after truck goes over side of 210 Freeway in Lake View Terrace

LAKE VIEW TERRACE — The driver of a big rig was trapped inside his vehicle early Wednesday morning after it went over the side of the eastbound 210 Freeway in Lake View Terrace in a crash that prompted the closure of the No. 2, 3, and 4 lanes of the freeway.

The crash occurred near the Osborne Street exit about 2:40 a.m. and damaged at least 60 feet of guardrail and a wall on the right side of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Paramedics and firefighters worked to free the trapped driver from the vehicle, the CHP said.

As of about 4:40 a.m., only the No. 3 lane remained closed.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
